Here at CPM we are recruiting for a Part Time Confectionery Consultant to join our team driving sales and improving the displays and availability of the UK’s most iconic confectionery products on behalf of our client within the independent sector.

What is the role?

In this exciting role you will maximize sales opportunities, advise retailers of new products and promotions, ensure existing and new displays meet high standards and are maintained following agreed plans & negotiate for extra and additional ranges. You will also be collecting stock from a cash & carry and selling in the confectionary brands during your calls.

You will be representing much-loved confectionary brands. Fully aware of competitor activity, you will gather information and encourage input from customers, using your strong influencing skills to establish and build rapport. All the information you collect in call will be recorded on a tablet.

Who are we looking for?

Have you developed your sales skills in a retail or field sales background?

Here at CPM we are looking for a Retail Development Executive to join our field sales team working on behalf of Lucozade Ribena Suntory (LRS). Driving the sales of Ribena and Lucozade within the independent and convenience sector, you will grow the product range and space while selling directly from your car, maximising distribution and availability. Your focus will shift onto volume sales drives at key points during the year. Range and space can also be increased by providing a category approach to the retailers’ own chilled equipment and gaining agreement for the placement of new coolers.

Able to establish and maintain great customer relationships, you will have a calm approach with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to discuss financials confidently using commercial persuasiveness to influence sales. Working autonomously as well as within a team, you will be target driven and responsive to deadlines. You should be of a graduate calibre or experienced in FMCG sales and within a profit loss environment.

Star Merchandisers Wanted for Core Team....
CPM’s Tactical Core Syndicated Team have vacancies in the field team for Sales Merchandisers and Auditors. The work is focussed in the 4 Grocers: ASDA, Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.

The purpose of the Sales Merchandiser is to proactively drive product sales through availability and compliance in store by way of merchandising or actively selling campaigns and brands to key heads of department to promote and increase brand awareness. This can include: Implementing POS, merchandising stock, activating promotions, building FSDUs (Floor Standing Display Units) and other promotional displays, store auditing, gaining incremental space/POS for products and brands for which the specific requirements are identified on a bespoke brief available to each merchandiser prior to the call. This must be read and digested fully prior to going to the call.

Purpose of the role

• To build and maintain in-store relationships with key stakeholders
• Deliver 100% compliance and ensure quality in your work in line with the brief and standards outlined by CPM and the brief
• Deliver 100% coverage of allocated stores within your Territory – on time and in full
• Complete all feedback and reporting within the timeframe on each brief (IFOTNE) In Full, On Time, No Errors using the Tactical Retail Force App – to do this you MUST have a smart device on the operating system Android or apple
• To be happy to cover upto a 10 miles radius of your home postcode

Experience and requirements

• Smart phone and ability to use an app to report back all activity
• Car as some minimal travel will be required and carrying of POS to store
• Retailer, brand and merchandising knowledge is preferable
• Being well organised and possessing time management skills are key to this type of position
• A Results orientated individual is required to achieve the extra mile for our clients
• Problem solving, planning and good judgments are essential skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and good communication – Internal and external client contacts
• Adaptable and flexible to change or workload and call requirements
• Being a self-starter with a positive and resilient disposition to achieve the high standards and results every time in call is essential
• Basic PC Skills using Windows software and access to PC/laptop
• Honest and trustworthy person who can work alone to achieve the results as part of a wider team and business

ROC: £6.50 per hour (+ £1 towards travel to each store that is visited)

Utilising your Sports Science Degree or equivalent sports accreditation (such as personal trainer qualifications) you will need to be a confident presenter able to clearly demonstrate the nutritional benefits of the Lucozade & Maxinutrition brands. By influencing key decision makers within health, fitness & sport sites (including National and Independent Gyms, Sports Clubs & Leisure Centres) you will deliver a programme of education, focused on driving long term recommendation and endorsement from customer facing employees, while ensuring availability and visibility of the brands through direct selling.

Dedicated to a personal training regime and using your previous sales experience (min 1 year), you will be able to draw on your knowledge to create credibility with key contacts and build effective business relationships in order to deliver winning sales results. Comfortable working individually and as part of a team you should be passionate about sales, and willing to go the extra mile in order to exceed your targets.
