CPM’s Tactical Team are looking to recruit a Regional Field Manager for their Core Syndicated Team. For a 3 month period. The work is focussed in the 4 Grocers: ASDA, Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.

The purpose of the role is to manage a regional field team across a store base of circa 400 grocery supermarkets. Merchandisers weekly hours vary according to the business CPM procure for the team.
To proactively drive staff to ensure they product sales through availability and compliance in store by way of merchandising or actively selling campaigns and brands to key heads of department to promote and increase brand awareness. This can include: Implementing POS, merchandising stock, activating promotions, building FSDUs (Floor Standing Display Units) and other promotional displays, store auditing, gaining incremental space/POS for products and brands for which the specific requirements are identified on a bespoke brief available to each merchandiser prior to the call.

Purpose of the role

• Manage a regional field team across a store base of circa 400 grocery supermarkets. Merchandiser weekly hours vary according to the business CPM procure for the team.
• To maintain team strength to deliver 100% coverage by effective recruitment and actively building and maintaining a local database of people to call on for coverage. To train, develop and motivate the team to deliver excellence in call, to include regular audits and work-within-store for on the job coaching.
• To constantly measure and review the team's performance against realistic performance targets, providing regular, constructive feedback and effectively managing poor performance in accordance with the company's procedures.
• To ensure that hours recorded and claimed are in line with store allocation. To maintain regular and effective communication at all levels - ie. team, head office and client contacts (as appropriate) using appropriate methods.
• To analyse team results on a daily basis to review actual coverage vs forecast, taking corrective action for team to achieve 100% coverage within a given week. To ensure the team's adherence to company standards in respect of administration and teletrack reporting.
• To develop and maintain an excellent understanding of multiple client's business, objectives, marketplace and the merchandising industry. To drive and deliver results in line with agreed Key Result Areas, by focusing on the continuous improvement of individual and team performance.
• To manage the area within agreed budgets by continuously controlling costs, Particularly relating to team mileage.
• To demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in business dress and conduct. To be responsible, while at work, for ensuring that reasonable and appropriate care is taken for own health and safety and also for the health and safety of others in the team. To be responsible for any other task identified by the Line Manager as falling reasonably within the scope and range of the position

• Candidates must have a demonstrable track record of managing a tactical merchandising team, demonstrating delivery of coverage, compliance and an understanding of the tactical marketplace.
• IT skills, working knowledge of excel, powerpoint and email
• Driving licence, own computer and internet access
• Smart phone and ability to use an app to report back all activity
• Retailer, brand and merchandising knowledge is preferable
• Being well organised and possessing time management skills are key to this type of position
• A Results orientated individual is required to achieve the extra mile for our clients & provide a high quality service
